The shoot took place in White Studio. We had a three-hour window, which is normally enough, but since it was my first time working in this studio, part of the challenge was adapting to the space and equipment quickly while maintaining a smooth workflow.
All photos were captured on the Canon R5 paired with the 24–70mm f/2.8, which gave the flexibility needed for both detailed product shots and full-body model work without switching lenses.
For the product images, we used a white paper backdrop to achieve a neutral and clean base. Lighting was kept controlled: a single key light positioned to introduce natural shadow and shape, and a fill light on the opposite side to balance the scene without flattening it. This setup ensured accuracy and consistency for catalog use.
Model photos were produced on the same white setup but with three lights and a foam board used for contrast control (white on one side, black on the other).
For the social-media images, we moved to the cyclorama wall to introduce more depth while keeping the look simple. We switched to a top-down lighting setup for a stronger, more dramatic feel. Two black foam boards were positioned on the sides to create clean shadow lines on the models’ faces, and a background light acted as a hair light to maintain separation.
By the end of the session, the client received:
- high-resolution images,
- optimized web versions,
- and clean cutouts for their catalog system.
